The Got Your 6 Storytellers event, hosted by the Television Academy in Los Angeles, showcases the exemplary talents and ideas of some of our country's brightest and most innovative military veterans.

Each of their talks will demonstrate that veterans are problem solvers, team builders, and leaders. These men and women are leading a resurgence of community across the country, while representing the very best qualities of our nation's veterans. #VetInspired

As an Army Captain, I deployed to Baghdad in May 2006, just a few months after the historic December 2005 Iraqi election. During my time in Iraq, I met countless Iraqis who proudly showed me photos of themselves and their family members holding up purple-stained fingers signifying they had voted in that election. These men and women faced down roadside bombs, suicide bombers, and rooftop snipers, all for the chance to participate in a free and open election. Eighty percent of the Iraqi electorate turned out that Election Day. Over the past 100 years, Americans have not even come close to that level of turnout. Lately, it has been even worse. In the 2012 presidential election, of the 235 million eligible voters in America, only 129 million – around 55 percent -- bothered to show up to the polls. Team Rausch Goes Electric; Reserves Tesla Model 3 and Accelerates Sustainable Transport! From a young age I've always enjoyed cars, and reserving the Tesla Model 3 is not only exciting but also makes me feel like a kid again! When asked by folks why I'm going "electric" I explain that what excites me about the Model 3 is how groundbreaking an automobile it is. Is it electric? Absolutely, 100%. It will also clock 0-60mph in less than 6 seconds. It's American made. The base price is $35,000 and it will comfortably seat five adults with more interior room than a BMW 3-series or my current Saab 9-3. This is possible, in part, because the driving position and fronts seats have been moved forward which is not possible in a combustable front engine car (the engine is in the way).
